Upgrading to HDClone 4

Post by Sean » Tue Dec 07, 2010 12:44 pm

Is there an upgrade path from version 3 to version 4 of HD Clone.

I realise there will probably be a cost involved but surely this will be discounted due to being a registered user of previous version ?

Can you advise.

Sean.

http://www.miray.de/order/sat.hdclone.update.html has all the information you need.
If you purchased within a three month grace period before the release, you're automatically updated to the 4 version. There will however be another update to the 3.9 edition in the next days.

Hi Alex,

I have seen the prices of version 4 on the miray.de website but wanted to know if to upgrade from 3.x to 4 I have to pay the full cost again or is there an upgrade price for existing V3.x users ? This is not mentioned on the miray.de site that I can see.

Thanks

Sean.

As I mentioned above, the link will lead you to the update-page

Prices for updating from 3.x to 4.x are reduced, as was from 3.8 to 3.9, etc.

HDClone's speed is around 20MB/s for the Free Edition. With a 1TB drive (= 1000000 MB) this takes 1000000/20 = 50.000 seconds, which is almost a day. If the device interface is slower or there are some reading errors, these can drag down the device speed considerably.
