Hi.

If i have choosen the wrong target drive in HDClone V. 3,6. is there any way that i can undo/restore the files on the target drive?

Any help will be appreciated.

As HDClone writes directly on the disk, there's little chance some of your data can be restored, as it depends what type of copy you made etc.

If you did *not* use SmartCopy, all the data is overwritten from the start of the disk until either the end of the disk or up to the capacity of the source disk (whichever comes first), and also the unused areas are overwritten.

If you did use SmartCopy, then there's a chance some spots in-between are left intact, but you'll need special recovery software in order to get the data left there (depends on the file system type, the partitioning etc.) To make matters worse, most recovery software will find the intact written system and probably won't bother looking for fragments of the old file system in the unused areas.

I used the SmartCopy option.

U mention "the intact written system" since the Disk which i used as source disk was a "fresh" new disk without any data on it, there wont be much to salvage, am i right?

Im using Getdataback NTFS/FAT32, any recommendations on other recovery software?

The disk's that i used was both 160gb.

If the disk was completely new (this means there being no partition etc.), HDClone does not find any partition it knows, and therefore copies the entire disk, without any space in between, which -- I'm sorry to say -- will probably mean there's little to salvage.
