Cannot boot original drive after aborted HD Clone

Post by Annomyous » Tue Oct 23, 2007 9:46 pm

I planned to clone a hard drive to an identical 80 GB drive. I downloaded HDClone Free Edition, burned it to a CD, and booted the CD on a PC which has two idendical SATA drives installed - one with operating system, programs, etc, the other blank.

Of course, I soon found out that HDClone Free Edition will not allow me to copy to an equal-sized drive, so I aborted by clicking the "X" exit button.

Now I cannot start/log on to Windows 2000 on the origianl drive. Each time I try, I get to the logon screen, enter my password, and then receive an error message which includes, "Limited Virtual Memory - Your system has no paging file, or the paging file is too small. To fix this problem, go to System in Control Panel, click the Advanced tab, and under Performance, click Settings. On the Advanced tab, click Change. Click 'Custom size,' and then type an initial or maximum paging file size."

Shortly after, I am returned to the logon box. Windows Repair doesn't solve the problem.
