I need to build a PC with multiple eSATA ports for the 16x HDClone Enterprise Edition. I figured four 4-port eSATA cards should do it. But I've been reading that these cards can only support two cards per PC. Any recommendations on how to 16-ports in a PC? TIA

Hm, I never heard of this 'only two cards per PC'. It may be true for the BIOS access, but HDClone uses its own AHCI drivers. The problem is probably more this: you have to make sure HDClone recognizes the SATA-Cards, which *must have* AHCI support, simply SATA does not suffice. You can use the Free Edition to test if a specific make is supported, but obviously, first you go to get your hands on one of these cards.

I would suggest looking for a PC mainboard with at least 8 SATA ports, so you should be fine with adding 2 cards with 4 SATA ports on each (given they are supported by HDClone's AHCI drivers).

The new Version of HDClone will also be able to access these drives running under Windows, so if you don't copy your System partition (which also works, but not in all cases) but only create 16 images of some arbitrary hard disk in your system, you can also run HDClone in Windows and copy them there. If Windows recognizes the 16 Hard Disk, also the Windows Version of HDClone does.
