Mapped Network Drives

Post by mcaro » Fri Jan 28, 2011 6:14 am

I have just installed HDClone4 PE edition and cannot see my network NAS which I wish to set as my target drive.

I have made sure that the registry entry as discribed in the User's Manual 7.7 is in place but still no success. (Using Windows 7).

Suggestions appreciated.........

Please make sure the drive is connected to a drive letter (X:, Y: ... ) and has been accessed at least once before, e.g. by navigating to it with the File Explorer. Otherwise, sometimes these network shares are not initially available, e.g. if you don't have it opened yet and try to change to it with the command shell, it won't work. Once it has been accessed, also the command shell can access it.

Thanks alex..... I have a drive image under way.

I did find I had to close and restart HDClone after I mapped the drive before it would see it. Using the button within HDClone was not sufficient.

Thanks again
