Cannot Boot HDClone from USB

Post by lilego » Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:11 pm

Hi Guys

I have an acer aspire one with a 8gb solid state drive I'm trying to clone to a 30gb toshiba drive.

I'm using the HDClone 3.9 Boot-Setup program to make a bootable USB medium. However, when I try to boot from said USB key, I get the error "missing operating system". I've moved the usb in the bios to the number 1 boot slot already.

When I check the USB key (formatted in FAT), there are NO FILES!!...but 1.5 mb of space was used up. Even after I view hidden files, nothing!, or even in the command prompt.

Am I using the boot setup program incorrectly?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
lilego

What version of HDClone do you use (the exact version, 3.9.3 or 3.9.4?) What edition? Free, Basic, Standard.

We have tested all Editions this far, this looks like an error we had on the first day of the release of 3.9.3 (but only on CDs).

What Operating System are you using to create the bootable USB key?
