HDClone Free Logical drive problem

Post by Quarath » Thu Jul 15, 2010 2:39 pm

I made an image of a HDD using HDClone Free 3.9.2. Now when I want to restore it, it says the image is "logical" and that the Free version doesn't support logical images. But how could I have create logical image using the very same HDClone Free boot CD? The image has to be physical, right? (Also total size of files in the img directory is the same as the disk capacity, so the free space is included in the image.) Can I edit something in the image files so that HDClone sees the image correctly as physical image? Or is there any other solution?
That image was made right before the HDD died (there were several read errors during the image creation, but that's just few destroyed files at max) and now the image is the only thing holding valuable data...so please help. :(

Please send the image control file as attachment to support@miray.de

If your image is named BACKUP, you'll find the file in \HDClone Images\BACKUP.img\BACKUP.img

What we probably also need is a listing of all the files in \HDClone Images\BACKUP.img (a screenshot of the explorer window would suffice).

Just wanted to say THANKS to the HDClone support.
After swift reply I was able to fully restore all the data without any further problems.
