While 3.6.2 is now more than a year old, on the resizing itself not much has changed... There could be a problem with the HPA (Host protected Area). This is a feature of Hard Disks to limit their capacity to whatever size is desired. If your original disc used such a feature to hide a small part of the disk from you (for say some recovery options etc., and the code to activate this partition is in your boot sector, then your 320GB disk is also clipped at 60GB.
You'd have to verify if this is the case: you can download the most recent copy of HDClone free edition, which knows how to handle HPA. if you select disc->disc and go to the source disc selection, your 320GB drive should appear as such.
In this case, you can use the free tool HDAT2 (http://www.hdat2.com/) to correct the disc size of your system, and then you can use the remaining 260GB.
Newer versions of HDClone can access the entire size and correctly upsize the disc. You might wanna give it a try.
