I have two 40gb hard drives. They are identical. My C Drive on the computer was beginning to fail. After many 'chkdsks' and attempted repairs, my computer now boots up to the message, "Hard Drive failure imminent!"
I tried using Zenworks Imaging CD to create an image of my C Drive and saving it onto an external drive. I then tried to place in the other 40gb hard drive (that is good) and image it. However, at a certain file in the image Zenworks would fail due to a "Segmentation Fault."
I had used HDClone before and came back to use it in this case. I've got HDClone 3.7. I place my bad hard drive as the master and the good one as a slave. I boot to the CD and attempt to copy the drive over. The percentage never moves from "0%". I get read and write errors. The data transfer rate also drops down to 3KB/s. I let it run overnight thinking it just had to make it through the bad sectors and everything would be okay, but the next morning it was still at "0%".
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
