New user needs info

Hi, I just purchased the HDClone professional portable edition and the dongle arrived today.
I would have expected a stick like sentinel driver key or something similar, but instead the dongle that arrived was a 32GB selfbooting USB stick with all the software inside. I am very happy with this but I fear that the key is more vulnerable than a token key (sentinel or similar).
Now my questions are:
- If the USB stick is damaged for example by a virus or simply by an incorrect operation, is it possible to recover it in some way?
- when I insert the USB stick into a Windows machine, Windows suggests me to backup the certificate (I don't know how to do it), is this normal? and is it useful for possibly restoring the functionality of the USB stick in the future?
- after booting the system from the USB stick I saw that an update was available and after clicking on the message I was sent an email with the nanoways link for the update. The file I downloaded is a .bin file and I assume it is an image of the USB drive. It is true? Can I restore it to another USB stick to preserve the original one for safety or do I have to use it on the original stick? (if yes, how can I do it).
Sorry for my bad English
Thanks a lot
