HD Clone Network shares

Post by Yamonn » Tue Jul 17, 2018 5:14 pm

Recently purchased HDC 8 Pro. Edition portable, but unable to map network drives when booted from key. Is this available in this edition and if so - where can it be found in the interface? have looked through all the relevant documentation, and according to inline help it suggests it available from Pro edition up.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello Yamonn,

With the self booting medium of HDClone you can access network shares when you start HDClone in Linux mode. For the Linux mode it is necessary that the self booting medium was created with the respective option (requires an HDClone 8 Professional Edition installation). At the following address is a short tutorial about how to create an HDClone 6 self booting USB drive (this also applies to HDClone 8): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHtrszugEW4

For the network share access you then can use the appropriate HDClone intern applet "Network Shares" for adding and mounting your network share. You can find more information about this in the HDClone Inline help (F1) under "Applets".

In case this doesn't work on your system I kindly ask you to open a support ticket at the following addess (including a short description):

Sincerely,
