Reboot medium doesn't work

Post by thomas4u » Wed Jan 30, 2013 4:50 pm

Hi, I have an Acer W510 running Windows 8.
When I try to reboot with "reboot medium" created from HDClone it starts up through the medium but then it only says "Starting ..." in the middle of the screen and stays there forever, I have tried to reboot through both USB stick and CD/DVD but none goes any further than that "Starting ..." message.
Anybody else has this problem - or a solution ?

So, no reply from Miray.

It seems there are no Miray support in these forums !! :(
So if you want answers or help you have to go through their support I guess. Well - I should have known - you get what you pay for :)

As I has a Atom Z2760 (Intel Clover Trail platform) in my tablet (Acer W510) and as that platform doesn't support any OS other than Windows 8 it have been very nice if Miray has that as non-supported system on there site. At least that had save me some money !

Thx for nothing Miray,

The problem with this might be, that the board boots in UEFI mode, and doesn't offer a legacy graphic mode, something that HDClone needs.

To mend this, simply deactivate EFI booting by removing the EFI folder on the USB boot medium.
