Missing disks

Post by laels » Tue Aug 16, 2011 1:15 pm

Hi
We have a standard HP server with standard serial scsi-disks connected to standard HP p400 controller.

When I try to clone these disks using HDClone Enterprise 4x, it cant find any readable disks?
Anybody have any tips?

Thank you in advance.

If you are running the self-booting version (HDClone/S), then the detection of RAID and SCSI disks is heavily dependent of the hardware used.

SCSI controllers are only supported on a very limited range (see http://www.miray.de/products/scsicompat.html), and with RAID controller it's more of a hit-and-miss. Some are not detected at all, and with some you only see the individual disks that make up the RAID set.

Use HDClone/W for these computers. If you don't have Windows installed, use a Windows Live CD (such as BartPE or WinBuilder) to create a bootable CD containing Windows and HDClone/W.
