I successfully backed up a hard drive (20Gb MHR2020at) onto a WD 320 GB back-up drive, using HD Clone. I first partitioned the WD 320 drive to match at 20GB. This works.

But now, I would like to copy this back-up from the partition onto CD disks, but no drive reads the new partition.

How can I copy the image from my back-up dive onto CD (or DVD) disks?

If you use HDClone 3.7, you can (and should) use the imaging feature, since the entire 20GB of the partition cannot easily be copied to a DVD.

You simply need to make a GB Partition, format it to FAT (in case you use HDClone Stand Alone) or NTFS (in case you use HDClone for Windows), use partition->image and specify the 20GB partition you recently formatted to contain the image.

After the copying process, the drive will contain a folder "HDClone Images", which will contain a control file and several files which are a maximum of 1GB in size. You can easily burn these files on a DVD. To restore, simply copy all these files in a directory named "HDClone Images" and HDClone will be able to restore it from there.

Thank you for the response.
I will try it.

I have HD clone version 3.6, is there a 3.7 update or download?

Yes, there's an update, and according to my informations, you can download the 3.7 edition for free.

Thank you.
I must be missing it, I do not see it on the downloads tab.
All I see is HDclone 2.0

How to I get the update?

Simply download it again, I resent the license key to your address (I hope it's the same given here)
