HDClone 3.5 isnt working

Post by stephane » Mon Dec 19, 2005 4:12 pm

I purchase HDCLONE 3.5, i use it on my IBM T40P laptop.
i try to clone my internal drive to a bigger one connected in USB2.
When i launch Disc > Disc, the speed is fast (17000 b/sec) at the start but go very very slow after few minutes (400 b/sec). I can't go more to 8% of cloning process.

I try with different option on and off, always the same problem.

please help
stephane

Dear Sir,

since this forum is used as a discussion board and not (primary) as a support board, such reports are better off with a mail to the Miray support (support@miray.de). A response here in this forum may take some more time, as it is not operated by the support crew, but rather loosely by some of the developers who share their insights.

As for your problem, the support crew has been informed and should get in contact with you very soon.

cheers,
Alex

Got the Free Edition, it said I needed the Basic Edition to clone to usb. Purchased the Basic Edition, but it won't recognize the usb drive at all (at least the FreeEdition recognized the drive). Emailed Miray repeatedly at all listed Miray email addresses asking how to upgrade to try the Standard Edition. Have received no answer at all, as if the company did no longer exists. What gives?

@John Glascock:

Depending on which Version you have, the USB support may differ. Earlier Free Editions implemented only support for USB devices for discovery purposes (thus no high-speed altogether), while newer versions use the same drivers as the Basic/Standard/Professional Edition, where there are some compatibility issues with some chipsets, mainly with Dell computers. If would help if you stated the versions of HDClone Free Edition and HDClone Basic Edition you have tested.
