cloned disc not bootable

Post by markeh » Fri Jan 13, 2012 8:20 pm

I have a new Gateway system, Win 7 64 bit Home Premium.

System came with a 1.5tb hd. I purchased a 120GB SSD to use for windows.

I can clone from the 1.5tb to the SSD using HD Clone (basic) All seems to go well, but the system won't boot of the resulting SSD. I get the message (from the bios) to "insert bootable medium", or something very similar.

Any suggestions as to how to make this work. I purchased HD Clone just for this purpose.

thnx,

.

I am having the same problem. Trying to clone Windows 7 Pro 64-bit onto an Intel 320 series SSD 160 GB. All goes well cloning, just hangs up trying to boot after that.

Any help, Please?

The only reasonable explanation is that some necessary adjustments are not being made.

Always try with the newest version of HDClone, and have it do automatic adjustments at the end. After the cloning (when the final screen appears), press Ctrl+Alt+F12 to write a log file of the whole process (Professional Editions can additionally create a report log), and send the log file to a support case, if it still doesn't work.
