Does HD clone copy a mac OSx Mountain Lion hard drive?

HDClone copies the entire drive, but does not detect the file system, so if you clone to a larger disk, the new space will not be used unless you resize the partition yourself or create a new partition later on within MacOS.
Copying to a smaller disk will not work.
