Description:

The Bricks application is an adaption of the popular game. It is the first real interactive application for µnOS. For those who have never before heard about Bricks: The principle of the game is to order bricks in a way they form complete rows. Each brick is formed by four squares of equal size (see the screenshot on the top right). The complete set of bricks consists of all possible combinations of four squares, each square is at least on one side in touch with another square. As a result, you have a set of seven bricks. One brick is coming down from the top of the playground and you have to try to place it in a way, so that no holes appear. If one row is completely filled, it disappears leaving more space on the playground. When the bricks are stuffed to the top of the playground so that no new brick can be placed on the top, the game will be over. If you still don't know what Bricks is, go play it ... ;-)

Operating:

You control the Bricks application with the keyboard.

The following keys are used for playing:
left arrow    -   move brick one step left
right arrow   -   move brick one step right
    space         -   twist brick
down arrow    -   move brick one step down

On the top left of the program window there is a preview of the next brick.
Below that preview you can see your achievements in the active game.

The level you are in depends on how many lines you've already completed. If you're in a higher level, the "step time" (the time a brick rests until going down another step) will be shorter.

LinesLevelStep Time
1010.8 sec
2520.7 sec
5030.6 sec
10040.5 sec
50050.4 sec
100060.3 sec

The score you get for a certain action depends on the action itself and on the level you're currently in.

The score raises when
- moving a brick down manually (points for each step down),
- completing one or more rows at once.

The score raises much more when you complete four rows at a time than when you complete four single rows, one after another.
